Friends!

We've had some friends come visit the past two days and we've got some best friends in the making!

Today at her weight check Emily was already back above her birth weight! She was 6lbs 2.6oz! Yay!! She's growing so well and she's sleeping well. And she is making her parents very very proud every second of the day. Something sad happened yesterday though. The outfit she wore home from the hospital, I tried to put it on last night and she was too big for it!! She's growing too fast! We're enjoying every single moment though!

first pediatrician appt

Today we went to see the pediatrician for the first time and the car ride was great- Emily really likes her car seat! We had to buy some preemie outfits the other day because everything is so big on her. So we got one that actually fit! Emily weighed 5lbs 14.6oz at the dr. today. It was .6 pounds more than her discharge birth weight! Yay baby girl! Here is a picture of her at the doctor right before she was weighed. She is such a happy, content little baby.

After the doctor visit we went to daddy's work and said hello to everyone he works with. Daddy also handed out "It's a GIRL" bubble gum cigars that he bought at the hospital! Then we went to the other pharmacy where daddy works every now and then to say hi. Miss Emi is famous. Everyone was so happy to see her! We were so close to Uncle Cory's work that we had to quick stop by there too. He was so proud to get a visit at his work!
Tonight also, we had bath time and playtime with both Grandmas here! Grandma V finished a quilt and brought it over so we got to play on that after bath time. We had so much fun! Emily is so alert and she loves when we play games with her!

Emily just loves to get her hair shampooed. She LOVES it! Today we did it in the evening time so we could have playtime afterwards. She was so alert and was just staring at us and so so cute! Our playtime lasted almost 2 hours! She doesn't have to do anything to be beautiful she just is. She definitely doesn't like the cold lotion going on her after the bath but after that's done she LOVED to play!
