she's growing up so fast!

I remember before having Emily people would tell me that kids grow so fast.. yeah, yeah... whatever.. oh my goodness!!! THEY DO!! I get the privilege to see Emily's beautiful face every single day so I don't see the changes as much anymore and now I'm having a hard time remembering that she was ever so teeny tiny. Where did my baby go?!

I'm not so sure we have to watch her quite yet with the boys, she was kind of shy.. although, when Ryan came over he did share very nicely and he also pushed her high chair around- he's very strong. I told her that he's already got 2 very good qualities and the fact that he's so handsome, well, that goes without saying!

Emi rolled over like 4x this morning and so I grabbed my camera and she did it again! She really likes to roll over now! So glad she finally let me get it on camera!

always learning something new!

Emily is doing really well with tummy time now. She lifts her head up and likes to look around. It's amazing how fast she learns. Pretty soon she'll be pushing up further with her arms and want to start moving! Also, since Saturday, Em has rolled over about 5 times all by herself! I have yet to catch it on video but I'm trying! She rolls from her tummy to her back. She hasn't rolled the other way yet. The other thing I'm trying to capture on video is her cracking up. She surprised us last night when we said we hadn't heard her laugh in a while.. Well, her daddy got her giggling and she was just CRACKING up and so were we! The hard thing is she won't laugh at the same thing twice.. we gotta find something else NEW that is funny! Here's a few pictures of her tummy time and the bottom right picture is where I caught a shot of her rolling over from her belly to her back.

It's hot as heck here but we went for a walk today. Auntie Jessa came over (not the one from last week.. a different Jessica) Em has quite a few "Auntie Jessica's" Well, we pulled out Em's umbrella stroller for the first time (thanks Voss family!) and she loved it! Here are a few pics we took while on our walk.

Emi has definately taken up a hobby of chewing on things.. She loves her little link and will even take naps while holding it.. She likes to gnaw on it and makes some cute noises. Are these the beginning stages of teething?? who knows?!

Emily swam in the big pool today for the first time over at Bryan and Michelle's house. We had alot of fun. Em was having fun till her diaper reached it's capacity and then she was ready to get out. So then we chilled in the lounge chair. Fun times!

Emily and I spent some time with Auntie Jessica K. today! (my friend since kindergarten) She came over to our house and we went and had "tea time" with Emily at the Tomato Cafe & Tea Room. We didn't "dress up" but We put a feather boa and hat on Emily and she LOVED the boa! The hat not so much, it was more like a helmet on her! Kinda big! We got some cute pictures anyways!

3 months old!!

Emily is 3 months old today! Also, she's 13 weeks old.

In an interview w/ 3 month old Emily she's told us what it's like to be 3 months

• I 've found my hands and love to suck on them
• I notice my mobile from across the room and want to play with it 24/7
• I love kicking my legs- I want to be moving soon
• My first "unofficial" word was ghee which Christina told us it means clarified butter in Indian (such a smart girl Emily, are you going to be a chef?)
• I've slept thru the night 2 times in the past week
• I still fit into most of my 0-3 month clothes
• Mexican resturaunts excite me
• I'm working on a bald spot in the back of my head (gotta get them sometime, right?!)
• I like to laugh but only when mom and dad don't have the camera around, they said my laugh is geeky. (geeky but so darn cute!)
• I like to grab momma's hair and just hold on for dear life, I think she thinks it's funny.
• I really like going to the spa, I mean taking baths

12 weeks!!

Emily is 12 weeks old today!! She celebrated starting last night when she finally let me hear hear cute little laugh! I was laughing so hard my sides hurt! Now, I finally believe her daddy that she laughed for him! I can't wait until it's consistent! It's the cutest, sweetest sound ever! Also, Emily celebrated her 12 week birthday by sleeping all the way thru the night last night for the first time! She slept from 8p-6a and she's napping again now! (I'm thinking growth spurt) What a growing up baby girl! I figure her 12 week picture should be her sleeping.. so I just snapped these photos!

this isn't the first playdate with Gabby either.. Every other time at least one of them have been sleeping! Now we finally got them to really "meet" Gabby is 3 weeks older than Emily. They seemed to really enjoy eachother!

Emi rolled onto her side! I didn't actually see her do it but I know she did. I know for a fact when I left the room to grab her bottle she was on her back - in a split second she was on her side! I wonder when she's going to roll over the whole way?! She's learning things pretty fast!

Emi's first 4th of July

she didn't see any fireworks or go to any big picnics.. just the 3 of us grilled in the backyard and had the best 4th ever. We're all together now and it was just PERFECT. Couldn't have asked for anything more.
