some bunny LOVES the Easter Bunny

Emily just ADORED Mr. Easter Bunny when she met him today. I think she would have sat there forever playing with him. Before I even pulled her out of her stroller she was hollering at him trying to get his attention. I was cracking up. She was feeling his fur and just LAUGHING and smiling so big! It was a great experience for me to witness and I'll never forget it! Emily's friend Cara was with us too and she liked him just as well!

Today we made last minute plans to go to baby time at the main library. This time we met up with 8 of Emily's "guy" friends. (I think if I say "boy"friends her daddy might be mad) Emily enjoyed it- especially the puppets. Some of the singing she didn't like but then again she cries when I sing to her sometimes too. So at least it's not just me! It was good to see all you handsome guys and your mommies!

I'm feeling a lot better today so mommy took me to the park to see my girls! Phoenix and her mom were in town from Miami and it was great to see them again! We missed Cara and her mom today but there's always tomorrow! What a beautiful day for a play date! We should do this every day!

taking it easy on a Sunday

Didn't know if Emily would continue her sickness today or not but I did expect her to. She's actually doing a lot better today. I'm so very happy! The sunshine came out too- and since it's been rainy the past few days we decided to check out the sunshine and play outside! I think if Emily could she would live outside. She LOVES it!

my sweet little Em has come down with a tummy bug that is not so fun :( But- it doesn't keep her from having fun. She stays busy and still gives that big warm smile that will absolutely melt your heart. Can't beat the snuggles either.

MILESTONE!

Okay I should have posted this last week but I didn't have much time to we had company :)

EMILY TOOK HER FIRST STEP Wednesday, March 18th♥! She balanced with my help and then took a step toward me! Then she did it again for Will! The next day she did two steps! We were at the beach today and she walked pretty far with us holding her hands. This girl is going to be moving even faster in no time! eeeeks!

I don't have pictures of this but I will get some eventually. It's hard to hold your arms wide open and take pictures :)

a visit from Addison!

these past few days Addison and her momma Jessica came down to visit from Wisconsin and stayed with us for a few nights. Emily had never met Addison before but the girls got along great and had a LOAD of fun! We have had very busy days, even made it to the beach and swam every day in the pool! We said goodbye today and we had such a great time with them! We miss you guys already! Lots of love! xoxo

day 1:
Addison and her momma flew into the airport on Wednesday, March 18th and we picked them up- we headed to the park and had a picnic where Ella's azalea is because it was Ella's birthday. We had a nice time and took pictures. When we got back home we let the girls play, play, play, then they did some swimming and got nice and dirty and then got a bath!day 2:
On Thursday, us girls headed to the mall and met up with Julie and Cara for a little bit of shopping and lunch. Then we made a few more stops before heading to the farm where Grandma Clo keeps her horse. Addison got to meet Humphree the horse! The girls had so much fun playing with the animals and feeding them treats! Emily actually ate a horse treat instead of giving it to the horse. She didn't feel like sharing. day 3:
On Friday we took a trip to the beach! Addison had never been before and it was a beautiful day for some sunshine! The girls each tasted some sand and dipped their toes in the water that was still a bit cold. We visited with some dogs on the beach and lounged in the shade and built a sand castle. It's a lot of work to take 2 sweet little girls to the beach. Quite exhausting! But totally worth it! They snoozed on the way back home!day 4:
Saturday was our last day with Addison and her momma. We wanted to take it easy so we headed out to the park for a picnic and to play on the playground. The girls had so so much fun and were both asleep before we drove out of the park. It was a perfect ending to a perfect visit.

Today Emily had Loads O' Fun!

Cara and her mommy came over and brought green cupcakes which we let the girls have after their fun swim in the pool! For Emily not loving the bath that much she SURE liked the pool! She even put her face in a few times- I think we have a water baby on our hands! Thanks Mrs. Julie for the cupcakes and the fun swim time Cara!

oh, Deere...

Emily got a big suprise from Grandma Clo-a John Deere tractor. And some pink socks to match. It's an understatement to say she likes it. She loves to push it everywhere. When she first sat on it she sat and stared and pushed buttons for about 15 minutes straight.. then finally wanted to get moving. That's my girl! Emily thanks you Grandma Clo!

11 months old!!!!

Happy 11 months sweet Emily!! I don't know where time has gone! But am so blessed to have spent every single day with you! ♥ mommyEmily is definitely a huge mover and shaker now. There's nothing she can't do. Except, well, walk. She climbs and crawls, stands, cruises, plays peekaboo with us, drinks out of real cups (with help) and she also listens very well, so far. She knows what is off limits. She got her 2 top teeth this month so now she's got 4 teeth! She does amazingly well with her glasses and still her favorite thing is reading! She's also fascinated by momma's camera which isn't a bad thing! Also, this month we've been working on transitioning to a sippy cup from a bottle. Yesterday she didn't have one bottle! I think we are solely on sippy cups! Yay! We're very proud of Emily and all her accomplishments and so blessed with all the joy she brings us.

Today Em weighed in at 18lbs, 13oz. and my wiggly girl I am estimating to be 29 1/4 inches

crossing state lines!

Emily and I drove to Thomasville, GA today to meet up with Cara and Kaleigh and their moms. It's only about 45 minutes away but it's nice to see something different. We browsed around downtown and the girls chit-chatted with each other in their strollers.Then we went to lunch where everyone saw the stroller train coming in and said what beautiful girls we had and a few people asked if they were triplets...um...no. :) After lunch we headed to a nearby park to let the girls stretch their legs and play. Emily and Cara were trying to play with the same toy so I showed them how to take turns and Cara pushed Em and Em pushed Cara. Kaleigh is a pretty good walker and she was all over the place- she's hard to keep up with! We missed our fourth buddy, Quinn - hopefully we'll see you next time Quinn!

oh and finally I have a picture to show Em's two top teeth! Aren't they sweet?

THIRSTY little lady

Doodah and Nana V came for a visit yesterday and Em was eyeing Doodah's Ice water. She decided she'd like some and of course Doodah couldn't say no and so Em had a few sips of his water.. and a few more.. and a few more.. and a few more. Thanks for sharing Doodah!

THE BIRTHDAY BOYS- CADE AND BRADY

Emily went to her first real birthday party today for her buddies Cade and Brady. They turned 1 year old yesterday and their party was today! It was at the Jr.Museum and we walked around and saw all the animals and got to see lots of friends and make new ones! Emily had a wonderful time and even got to participate in pulling a ribbon from the pinata.

a chilly turned beautiful day for a play date!

We went to the park today and it started out pretty chilly. It warmed up nicely and the girls had lots of fun. They don't stay on the picnic blanket nearly as much these days but they love playing together and keeping us moms running!

okay, this is by far the messiest by far we've ever gotten at dinner time so I HAD to get the camera out. I made 15 bean soup today and decided to see if Emi would like it.. Well, she LOVED it but didn't want it from a spoon so she has beans, beans, beans, everywhere. Then she had some blueberries....just a few.. don't ya know they are nice for a facial?!

well Em has been getting to where she will walk alone with her little doll stroller now. I am so proud of her! She's doing so good (yes you can even hear me gush with proudness on her video) She is just growing ENTIRELY too fast.

an EXTREMELY fun day!

Emily and I met up with our friends Julie and Cara to go check out the Extreme Home Makeover set here in town. Tomorrow is the big reveal to the family so we decided we should go check it out today! We got to see Paige and Michael but no Ty. We also ran into Tammy and Anna there! It was a gorgeous day too so afterwards Julie and I took Cara and Emily to a nearby park so they could stretch their legs and have some lunch! What a fun day!

OOOOOHHHH! OHHHHHHHHH! OH!

If you have been around Emily even just a little bit lately you have probably heard her say "OOOHH" and you know she really means it. She sees something real neat. Well, in this case it's her favorite. Birds. There are these huge birds that fly around in the sky every evening around 5pm every night at our house. She LOVES to watch them. And she just keeps saying OOOH oooooh OOOOOHHHHHH. It's so cute. I don't know where she got the OOOHs from but she makes sure we don't miss the birds either! I will try to catch her on video next time we see the birds. Oh and she doesn't just OOOH at the birds.. it could be anything.. the birds get extra OOOHs though.

Emily is ALL ABOUT PICKLES since we gave her one a few weeks ago. She inhales them! I am not a huge fan of pickles at all.. but Will is.. they are two of a kind!

TGI Friday Playdate!

We had a fun play group on Friday at our house- we had a new little chica join us, Miss Rossi. She is 3 months old but she'll be rolling around and playing with the big girls in no time! We had to stay inside this time because it was too cold outside! Lots of fun though!

a visit to the eye doctor!

I took Emily to her 3 month eye glasses check-up.. hard to believe it's been 3 months already but yet it seems longer! Dr.Sherman was happy to see her and said she was doing perfect with the glasses! He was very pleased. He said she'll probably be wearing them throughout childhood and that we probably want to soon think about a back-up pair of glasses. When they start walking is when lots of scratches and dents happen to the glasses. So.. we'll see what kind of "stylish" frames we can get next time as backup glasses- for people to ask "are those real?"

lunch with a friend...

Emily and I went to Cara's house for lunch today. Julie, Emily and I loved the eggplant parmesan- thank you! After lunch the girls played outside- it was a gorgeous day! They especially loved the swing! I can tell these girls are going to be friends for a long time to come!

10 months old!

Emily is 10 months old today! Where has time gone?! She has been SUPER busy this past month. She has went from doing an army crawl, to crawling on all fours, pulling up to a stand, and now cruising. I see walking in her future! Her personality just blossoms more every day. She also got her 2 top teeth this month as well- you can't see them too good yet when she smiles so hopefully in the next few weeks we'll get some toothie pictures! She knows we love to make her smile and she does the same with us. She loves to make us smile by being crazy and goofy! She has tried a whole bunch of new foods and right now there is nothing she doesn't like. She is a very good eater but I'm not sure where this little lady puts it all!
Emily is 18lbs, 5oz and 28 3/4 inches. What a big girl!

Happy Birthday Kaleigh!!

We headed down Friday morning to St.George Island with some friends of ours and their daughter, Cara, who comes to play dates with Emily. We stayed at their beach house and had an incredibly wonderful and relaxing time. The girls had a lot of fun together too! It was gorgeous weather and it couldn't have been more perfect! Happy Birthday Nana V.!

Today we celebrated Nana V's birthday! We went to eat pizza and had a fun time. (Emily ate a 1/2 of a 6" cheese pizza by the way!) We always have fun with the family! Love you Nana V!

Also today, Emily's top left tooth popped out! We have a top tooth! Now to work on that other top one.. this one was very hard work! (Emily won't let me ever see her top gums so we don't have a top tooth picture just yet) But- Emily is pointing to the tooth that did come in!

we did a last minute get together with Quinn and Cara and their mommies at baby time at the library today. It was a ccccccold day here so we wanted to find something to do inside. The girls had a great time and really enjoyed the puppet show!we're glad we went again.. it's been a long time.. look at the difference between the pictures below.. Quinn and Emily are much bigger now!

Emily reminds me of Madonna the material girl in these pictures.. Em is such a goof and a show-off - here she is loving the attention she's getting in her tutu, sunglasses and big bow.. it all started when I tried the tutu on her again...then..tried on her sunglasses- she actually kept them on really good! Oh what fun dressing up is!
